Bismillaah wa -Alhamdulillaah wa Salaatu wa Salaam 'alaa Rasulillaah 'amma ba'd
Muwahhideen Publications organized a LIVE Tele-Lecture with the Noble Shaykh Muhammad ibn Rabee' ibn Hadi' al-Madkhalee (May Allaah Preserve Him), son of Ash-Shaykh al-Allaamah Rabee' ibn Hadi al-Madkhalee (May Allaah Preserve Him) and a professor of Aqeedah in The Islaamic University of Madeenah. The Shaykh has written many books, more famous of which is the refutation of the sufis, which is available in English. The Shaykh will elaborate on the virtue and excellence of the last ten nights of Ramadhaan. This event was broadcast LIVE in three Masaajid across Trinidad & Tobago and five Masaajid in the U.S. In Tobago, Masjid Ibn 'Abbaas, In Trinidad, Masjid ul Khaleefah and Masjid us Sunnah, and in the U.S. Masjid Al-Bukhaari, Florida, Masjid Ibn 'Abbas, Georgia and Masjid Uthaymeen, New Jersey inshaaAllaah.
This session was translated LIVE into English.
Before commencing the lecture, the Shaykh (hafidhahullaah) said it is a must that we stop in order to praise Allaah for His great blessings and the first and highest of them is the guidance of Allaah and being upon Tawheed and being far from any acts of Shirk or Bid’ah especially in a world where the vast majority of mankind are upon ignorance and misguidance. He praised the brothers who host such activities and made du’a asking Allaah to give us all Ikhlaas in statements and actions and accept and bless our actions.
Getting into the lecture, he started by saying our Prophet, our role model (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa salaam) when the last ten days of Ramadhaan came he would increase in his worship of Allaah giving up all matters of the dunya and secluding himself in the masjid, as these last ten days are a great opportunity for those who Allaah has granted success to be upon ‘ibaadah and a great opportunity for our deeds to be accepted from Allaah. He went on to explain the narrations that mention the behaviour of the Prophet (salallahu ‘alayhi wa salaam) in the last days of Ramadhaan and commented on some of the virtues of Laylatul Qadr.
Gently admonishing us, the Shaykh emphasized that we are in need of more actions than statements. He went on to extract two beautiful benefits from the hadeeth narrated by ‘Ubadah Ibn as-Samit
“Allaah's Apostle went out to inform the people about the (date of the Night of Decree (Al-Qadr). There happened a quarrel between two Muslim men. The Prophet said, "I came out to inform you about the Night of Al-Qadr, but as so and so and so-and-so quarrelled, so the news about it had been taken away; and maybe it was better for you. So look for it in the ninth, the seventh, or the fifth (of the last ten days of Ramadhaan)." (Bukhari: Book 8: Volume 73: Hadith 75)
Firstly, this shows the terrible effect of disagreeing and fighting with each other so much so that Allaah took away from us the knowledge of the exact night of Laylatul Qadr. From another angle, it is beneficial to us that we are void of the knowledge of the exact night so that we may increase in our worship of Allaah throughout the last ten nights thus gaining more blessings and rewards.
In closing, the Shaykh made du’a that Allaah accept our deeds and demolish the fitan (trials and tribulations) that has befallen the Muslims all over the world and to restore the safety and security upon the Muslims and make us all one united body. He invoked Allaah to destroy and take away the evil of the raafidhah; those who are willing to die in spreading their corrupt religion that they claim is Islaam but Islaam is innocent and free from them. He asked Allaah to give victory to the people of Sunnah in Syria and said that it is upon all of us to invoke Allaah to give victory to our brothers and sisters from the people of Sunnah in Syria and to help and assist them as much as we can. He asserted that we must remember that Allaah is near and hears our du’a, and that we are upon certainty that the Syrian Sunni nation have stood up all together against the raafidhah and against the nusayriyyah and the nusayri President who is being used as toy in the hands of the Iranians in order to spread wickedness upon the earth.
Finally, he said “I ask Allaah to accept our deeds in this blessed month and make us finish this month as though we have just been born to our mothers, clear and pure of any sin and we say to you, we ask Allaah to bless you with good in every Ramadhaan and bless you with good in every ‘Eid.”
