Muwahhideen Publications, in co-ordination with Islam.TT, is pleased to host our 4th Annual Anti-Carnival Seminar 2012 in Tobago, Trinidad & Tobago. Every year when the fitnah carnival season comes around, the Muslims find themselves entrapped in a very unhealthy environment; with this in mind, we try to make an effort to provide a means for the muslims to use the holiday time to benefit themselves and their families with beneficial knowledge. This year we have four honoured guest speakers from Salafi Publications, Birmingham U.K. and our two beloved local speakers, who will be delivering a series of lectures in Tobago.
We invite all the muslims of Trinidad & Tobago to attend in person. Spend the week with the Muslims in Tobago. Escape the carnival madness that has engulfed the non -muslims in T&T, May Allaah guide them.
Our brothers from Birmingham, Abu Khadeejah Abdul Wahid Alam, Abu Hakeem Bilaal Davis, Abu Iyaadh Amjad Rafiq, and Abu Idrees Muhammad Khan will be spending the duration of the seminar with us in Tobago from Friday 17th - Friday 24th February, 2012. Our guest speakers, along with our very own local students of knowledge, will be conducting lectures covering issues pertaining to the methodology of Ahl Sunnah wal Jama'ah in the affairs of aqeedah (belief), akhlaq (manners; etiquitte), ibaadah (worship), our dealings with one another, and our methodology in dealing with the people of innovations and desires. The highlight of the lecture series will be the biographies of the Salaf as Saleh (righteous predecessors). There will be sessions dealing exclusively with the lives of these magnificient personalities in the history of mankind, from 'Umar ibnul Khattab to his son 'Abdullaah ibn 'Umar, to Shaykh ul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah al Mujahid, to our great contemporary scholars and revivers Shaykh Al-Albanee and Shaykh Muqbil.
The entire compound of Masjid Ibn 'Abbaas, Tobago Islamic Centre will be blocked off and tents will be erected to facilitate the lectures outdoors. All brothers will be allowed to sleep in the masjid, provided they walk with their own sleeping materials and obey the masjid rules. There will be vending and other activities throught the day, as well as dinner will be provided after the last lecture of the evening. There will be three session per day, one after fajr, one after maghrib, and one after 'ishaa inshaaAllaah ta'ala
