The Prophet (sallAllaahu 'alayhi wa salaam) had particular practices when it comes to the day of 'Eid. The actual salah itself has specific differences, and the celebrations as well has certain allowances that were given to both men and women. As salafis, those who strive to follow the Quraan and Sunnah upon the understanding of the salaf as saalih, we strive to imitate our Prophet (sallAllaahu 'alayhi wa salam) and those who followed him in the major to the most minute affairs, even in the manner in which we enjoy ourselves. This festive day, has many practices that were sanctioned and encouraged by the Prophet (sallAllaahu 'alayhi wa salam) at the same time keeping within the boundries that were set by Allaah and His Messenger (sallAllaahu 'alayhi wa salam). We look forward for our Shaykh Muhammad Ramzan (hafidhaullaah) to guide us towards these sunan that we may be upon our Prophet's (sallAllaahu 'alayhi wa salam) methodology in even the issue of celebration.
We ask Allaah, The accept our fasts and grant us freedom from the hellfire in these last days of Ramadhaan.
